This wine braised cabbage recipe makes a great side dish for sausage!
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 head green cabbage shredded
- 10 oz carrot grated
- 3/4 cup sweet Riesling wine or apple juice
- 1 Tbsp celery seed
- 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
Instructions
- Heat oil. Add onion, carrots, and salt. Saute 5 minutes. Add cabbage. Cook 5 more minutes. Turn heat to high and stir in wine, pepper, and celery seeds. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 20 min. stir in vinegar
