If you’re looking for “too easy to be real food,” you’ve found it.  Except it is real food!  Waffled Garlic Bread is the perfect example of a 100% green tier food that doesn’t use elaborate, hard-to-find ingredients, doesn’t take a master’s degree in culinary arts, and costs hardly anything to make.  Oh, and your family will love it so much they will keep asking for more!  I know it’s hard to believe, but it really does exist!

We also have these garlic-oregano knots.

Need to make a plan? This recipe is already preloaded in MyFoodPlanet!

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle maker. Spread butter evenly over both sides of each piece of bread. Sprinkle one side only with garlic powder. Place one slice of bread in hot waffle maker. Close lid. Cook 3-4 minutes or until hot and nicely toasted. (Feel free to follow the manufacturer's instructions for making waffles. Its natural cycle should be perfect.)

Notes

If you're using butter to cook with or bake or in a recipe that uses a lot more ingredients, "no name" butter is fine to use.  However, when butter has a more prominent role in the food, such as it does here, we suggest a butter with a bit more flavor.  We used Kerrygold for testing purposes.
