There’s nothing quite like a juicy, tender steak cooked to perfection. With this recipe, you can let go of the idea that the only place to find one is at a steakhouse. Top it off with the homemade steak sauce (recipe by itself here), and you will forget all about that other bottled stuff.
Ingredients
Steak
- 16 oz sirloin steak
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper freshly ground preferred
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 green onion
Homemade Steak Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Ketchup no sugar listed in ingredients, see notes
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce no sugar listed in ingredients, see notes
- 1 tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp bottled minced garlic
- 1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce or to taste
Instructions
Steak
- Pat steak dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper, on each side.
- Heat pan over medium heat. Add olive oil. Add steak. Cook 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
- Slice steak and serve with sauce.
Homemade Steak Sauce
- Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
