Roasted red bell peppers are available commercially, and their ingredients are not bad at all. Not a food I would consider “processed,” but at the same time, they are somewhat pricey and if you can make your own, so much the better, right? Especially when bell peppers are on sale!

Servings : 4 bell peppers
Ingredients
- 4 red bell pepper seeded, stemmed, and halved
Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place pepper halves cut side down on prepared baking sheet. Flatten with the palm of your hand. Broil 15-20 minutes or until skin is blackened and blistery. Using tongs, carefully place peppers in a zip top plastic bag. Seal.
- Let stand 15 minutes. Remove from bag and gently peel and discard skin. Use immediately or store up to 1 week in the fridge.
Notes
Suggested uses: Salads, Pizzas, Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce, Spinach-Feta Stuffed Tilapia, Sweet Potato-Red Pepper Bisque, sandwiches

I love that there’s no oil involved like the canned, store bought ones. Thank you!!
