Every January, as football playoffs come to a close and two teams claim spots in the big game, Superbowl party planning begins for many people. It may not even matter if your team is in the big game. People are coming over to watch the Superbowl and you need healthy game day recipes to get the best of both worlds.
That is exactly why we developed a bunch of recipes that take the processed junk out of game day recipes while keeping the flavor in. Most people won’t even be able to tell the difference between these healthy game day recipes and their deep-fried counterparts.
In this blog, I’ve compiled a list of my favorites from our larger list of healthy Game Day recipes. These recipes are healthier versions of some of your favorites like chips and dip, boneless buffalo wings, pretzels and beer cheese, and more.
So, invite your friends over for the Superbowl (or any other game you want to watch) and make a few of these healthy game day recipes. Or, pick one or two to take to someone else’s house for the game.
Enjoy the game!
(see below the picture gallery for links to each of the healthy game day recipes)
1 – Pretzel Dogs (Keto) – If you use all natural, uncured sausages or hot dogs and wrap them in this low carb pretzel dough, you’ll have a healthy game day snack that your friends will love!
2 – Pretzels and Beer Cheese – 100% whole grain pretzels with beer cheese. You pretty much can’t go wrong with healthier versions of classic pub food like this at a game day party.
3 – Steak Fajita Rollups and Queso (Keto) – Flank steak with fajita veggies rolled inside and a homemade queso.
4 – Chicken Taquitos – These make great finger food for a party. You can serve with the queso above or with salsas, guacamole, sour cream, and other fun dips and toppings.
5 – Chips and Guacamole and Pico De Gallo – Baked tortilla chips, fresh pico de gallo, and the best guacamole ever. No need for store-bought chips or that guacamole that has mayo in it (have never understood that).
6 – Keto Supreme Nachos (Keto) – Low carb nachos! We also have a version of this made with the baked tortilla chips and a slow cooker chicken taco topping if you aren’t looking for low carb (you can find it here).
7 – Boneless Buffalo Wings – Of course, buffalo wings are practically the flagship food of sports bars and game day parties. It wouldn’t be right to have a healthy game day recipes collection without something like this.
8 – Cauliflower Buffalo Wings – Buffalo wings get another shout out with this vegan version made with cauliflower. I made these for a party once and they were the first thing gone. You don’t need to be vegan to love these (although, if you are, make sure your sauce is vegan because some of them have butter in them).
9 – Chili and Cornbread – This chili is nearly world famous. If I say “nearly” then I can say that, right? I suppose it’s debatable, but chili and cornbread is definitely something worth thinking about for your list of healthy game day recipes.
10 – Spinach and Artichoke Dip – You can serve this tasty dip with the baked tortilla chips or some toasted whole grain bread!
11 – BLT Dip – Another one for the chips. Who doesn’t love bacon?
12 – Cheddar Cheese Popcorn – Using cheese powder from a healthier box of Mac and Cheese yields some awesome popcorn for easy to grab snacks.

Unless I am missing something, I think that the Cauliflower Buffalo Wings on the page for 12+ Clean Recipes for Game Day recipe is showing up as the same as the Boneless Buffalo Wings recipe.
Nicki! So sorry about that. Copy/paste got the best of me and my proofreading failed. I’ve fixed it and here is the correct link as well. https://www.9010nutrition.com/blog/recipe/baked-cauliflower-buffalo-wings/. My apologies.
