Nothing quite arms the belly like some fresh-from-the-oven apple crisp, cinnamon-y and sweet.  Top it with some homemade vanilla bean frozen yogurt, and you’ve just outdone yourself.  You’re going to love this homemade healthy apple crisp recipe.

This will remind you of a classic Betty Crocker recipe, but with healthier ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 6 each apple honey crisp or granny smith
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup 100% whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375.Peel, core, and slice apples. Place in a 2 quart glass baking dish. Combine sugar, flour and oats. Cut in cold butter using two knives. Sprinkle mixture over apples.


  • Bake, uncovered, at 375 for 35-40 min or until the apples are soft and the top is golden.
