Not every meal has to be made up of an entrée and sides.  As long as it’s nutritionally complete with a serving or two of protein, a serving or two of fruit or veggies, and a serving or two of starches, you have my permission to go ahead and call it a meal even if you just pick away at it while you’re sitting at your desk, grazing.  Here with this Grazer’s Lunch we have a variety of nuts and dried unsweetened fruits with some green tier pretzels and a cheese stick, but any combination you put together works, as long as you like it and it it’s compliant with the tiers.  You can read other ideas in the notes below.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp cashews
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 3-4 dried apple rings unsweetened
  • 1 cheese stick
  • 1 oz uncured deli turkey no sugar listed in ingredients
  • 1 oz pretzels green tier, see notes

Instructions

  • In a grazer's lunch, the ingredients are arranged in a divided dish, in several reusable containers, or even plastic bags.

Notes

We used Sproutzels brand pretzels for testing purposes.
