This is your grown up version of the purple blob that came out of the can. I know some are super partial to the canned cranberry sauce, but you may change your mind with this Bourbon Cranberry Sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 package fresh cranberries 12 oz
- 1/2 cup apple flavored bourbon or apple juice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp orange zest
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Let boil 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries are incorporated and sauce has thickened. Sauce will continue to thicken after cooling.
Notes
For vegan, use pure maple syrup instead of honey.
