As I sit here and write this blog, it’s just after Thanksgiving, and that means a couple of things:
- Some of you will be getting Instant Pots for Christmas or you already got one on Black Friday.
- The warm meals (soups, stews, meats for sandwiches and tacos) are on the menu.
Those two things inspired us to put together a list of “One Bag Instant Pot Meals” that you should try this season.
What are "One Bag Instant Pot Meals"?
One Bag Instant Pot Meals are Freezer Meals that go in a single bag and then cook in the Instant Pot.
The meals all go something like this:
STEP 1 – Assemble most or all of the ingredients into a one gallon zip top bag. Sometimes certain ingredients are left out. Usually these are things like pastas that get cooked at the end, toppings that get put on after dishing, or tortillas or buns.
STEP 2 – Label the bag and freeze.
STEP 3 – When you’re ready to use the meal, put the frozen meal in the Instant Pot, without its plastic bag, and cook as directed in the recipe.
STEP 4 – Serve the meal when you’re ready.
That’s pretty much it for these meals. It really is that easy.
