I hear people say, “I’m not a very good cook” and I always wonder what they think that means. I mostly just follow very simple instructions on very simple healthy recipes. If I see recipes that are super complicated, I usually stay away. I like simple. Simple is easy. Simple tastes amazing.
That’s not to say that you CAN’T get all gourmet and fancy. You can get complicated with your meals, you can worry about presentation, and you can study various cooking techniques. But, please understand, you don’t have to be creative, artistic, or talented to make great food. You just have to make REAL FOOD from simple and fresh ingredients. Julia Child sums it up well!!!!
Simple Healthy Recipes
I think one of the EASIEST ways to put together simple healthy recipes is with our 1-2-3 Eat! system. It’s so simple! Just use fresh ingredients, pick from each list, and you have your meal. Here is the BLOG POST we did about that system with all of the details including a video.
Another very convenient option for simple healthy recipes is our database of freezer meals. Many of these freezer meals are what we call “one bag wonders”. You literally dump ingredients in a bag (usually with no chopping), label and freeze the bag, then dump in the slow cooker or Instant pot when you are ready to use it. Here is the BLOG POST with the details on freezer meals. We also do lots of live freezer meal shows inside our member community.
