In light of the release of our second book, “28 Days to Clean EXPRESS“, we’re starting a string of challenges. We start with the first book, “28 Days to Clean”, on July 11, 2022 and then transition to the second book on Aug 8, 2022.
I thought it would be a good idea to give you some example recipes from the first book in case you are unsure about what to expect. Of course, the value of the 28 Days to Clean books is not so much in the recipes themselves but rather in the integrated plan.
You can get individual healthy recipes in a myriad of locations on the internet and in print. What you can’t always find is a truly useful plan that doesn’t require exotic ingredients, leave you with unused food, and require you to be in the kitchen for hours every day. That’s where the 28 Days to Clean books really shine.
At the same time though, a plan that works on paper with recipes that taste terrible is a plan that doesn’t really work. So, it’s always good to know if the recipes are something you will enjoy.
NOTE: The recipe below are extremely similar to those in the book but may vary in the following ways:
- Servings: The book is written for 1 person for 28 days. The versions of some of the recipes linked below may be written a larger number of servings.
- Dairy and Gluten: The book is written to omit gluten and all dairy except butter and cultured dairy (such as yogurt). The website versions of some of the recipes may include dairy and gluten in the ingredients.
7 Example Recipes from 28 Day To Clean

If you have an Instant Pot, this one is SO EASY. It can also be made on the stove top if you don’t have an IP though, so don’t worry. This is dinner on day 2 of the book, and it gives you 2 days of leftovers.
3 – Basil Butter Mahi Mahi
Week 2 brings you this mahi mahi recipe which makes a great protein salad topper the next day for lunch.
4 – Sheet Pan Garlic Ranch Chicken and Vegetables
Also in week 2 is this one pan meal. There are 5 one pan (sheet pan) meals in the book for super easy cleanup.
5 – Mexican Lasagna
This tasty and unique recipe shows up in week 3 of the book and is an absolute delight.
6 – Slow Cooker Pepper Steak
You’ll have this for dinner on the last night of week 3 and save some for lunch the next day.
